Played the Beta, didn't notice any jaggies. Maybe you should have tried the Beta yourself?
Loved Resident Evil 4, Monster Hunter Tri, Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 but that's about all I ever bought for it!
Haha, nice, I've heard there's been some teething problems alright, hopefully Naughty Dog will clear it up sooner rather than later.
Edit: How did I get a disagree for hoping Naughty Dog patch the game up? Crazy N4Geniuses!
What I'm basically seeing so far is people not liking the Uncharted 3 beta because it's not Uncharted 2.
I played and finished Uncharted 2 for the first time over the weekend and I can't wait to get stuck into the beta after work!
Big fan of Gears but no, cut scenes are not Gears' strong point. But that's besides the point, he doesn't say that Gears has the best cinematics, he is saying that games that use the Unreal engine do, which I'm still wouldn't think is true.
It's so sad to see so many people attack Gears when he wasn't even referring to it directly. He was saying that if Gears 3 was running on more poverful hardware than a 360 then it could look like a movie. Read...
I'm still undecided on whether this game is just someone taking the p!ss or what. The game looks ropey enough without the actual video of the multiplayer stating that the game "sucks", a statement I'm guessing was made by one of the developers.
PC's will always be capable of producing superior graphics to a console. PC's are constantly evolving, there's an old saying that the second you buy you're brand new PC, it's out of date.
When the PS4 and Xbox Whatever Next are released they may be able to match high end PC's, but only for a few days, such is life.
Split screen means the console will be trying to generate twice the awesomeness, and with the Frostbite engine being quite awesome it might be difficult for even the mighty PS3 to pull off without making cutbacks to the detail.
If they're different to the main campaign missions there's a strong chance they're bite sized missions just like MW's Spec Ops, which is good but nowhere near as good as main campaign co-op imo.
Every game should allow co-op in the campaign!
I can't get excited about this yet, as a late PS3 adopter I still haven't played any Uncharted games. Got a loan of Uncharted 2 this morning so gonna have a crack off it after work and try and get it finished over the weekend, hope it's as good as they say it is!
Rage.
Sounds good, glad they're building on the original Horde mode, 'twas my favourite mode in Gears 2. Gears 3 is really shaping up into an all rounder, which is great seeing as it's probably the only reason I'm gonna switch my 360 back on this year!
@limewax
Speaks leaps and bounds? What the shit? If your gonna wail on someone at least get your wording right.
And how does his statement prove he would "rather have a mid-ground xbox version of a multiplat game"? Like putting words in people's mouths much?
@paintsville
Dunno if I can agree with you on that point but it has happened in the past.
Looks class!
That looks really fcuking good.
Oh right, hasn't the 30 day PS+ thing started yet? So yeah, when I say absolutely free, I mean it's part of the PS+ subscription, but it's still a nice little bundle of games for PS+ subscribers to be welcomed back to! Since I've signed up to PS+ back in November I hadn't really been that impressed with what was on offer, the Betas are good, but this is the first time I've genuinely been glad to be a PS+ subscriber.
Got Burnout Paradise, Robocod, Streets Of Rage 2 (best side scrolling beat 'em up of all time) and Magic The Gathering absolutely free, as well as the Infamous 2 demo, and that's all before the Welcome Back Package, so I'm pretty happy. Oh, and the extra 70 days added to my Playstation Plus membership doesn't hurt either, all is forgiven Sony!
Shove your PS3s and your Xbox 360s up your ar$e, Commadore 64 rules, WOOOOO!!!
Face palm :(
Played a bit last night after work and the first thing that struck me (and I know, it's a beta) was how poor the graphics were. Character models reminded me of the characters in Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii. And when I moved from an outside area to an indoors area the screen stays black for a few seconds too long, I'm all for realism but not when it means I can't see who the hell is shooting me!
The game itself is class though, love the constantly changing co-op, one min...
